RETREAT RULES CONCERNING DOGS

To ensure harmony and consideration of all guests, we ask that our Retreat rules be respected. Our rules help to ensure a safe and enjoyable holiday experience for everyone. Please read the following rules and sign the "Agreement to follow rules" sheet and fax or post to Tarra Valley Rainforest Retreat before your arrival.

Owner's Responsibility

Owners must take absolute responsibility for their dog's behaviour whilst at the Retreat.

Dogs are to be kept on leash at all times outside your room except in the designated off-leash area. Please note that this rule will be strictly enforced for the peace of mind and safety of others. Remember that your dog is in a strange environment and may behave differently than at home.

Owners must correctly dispose of all droppings, both within Retreat grounds or along Tarra Valley Rd. There are two disposal bins in the front and one bin at the back of the house for this purpose.

Dogs are not to be allowed to chase, harm or otherwise disturb the wildlife around the Retreat.

Dog's Health

Have a current vaccination certificate.

Be healthy and free from fleas, worms and other parasites.

Dog's Temperament

Aggressive dogs are not welcome.

Excessive barking is not considered acceptable behaviour.

Off-leash Areas

Dogs may only enter an off-leash area if not currently in use, or by invitation of the user.

Owners are to accompany their dog at all times in the off-leash areas.

General

Dogs are not to be left alone in the Retreat. There is an excellent pick-up & drop-off dog-minding service available for the convenience of our guests.

Dogs are to sleep inside with their owners at night.

Dogs are not permitted in the Retreat's food preparation areas.

Room Specific

Only completely house-trained dogs and those allowed full use of their owner's home are permitted in the Retreat rooms.

Dogs are not to be left alone inside or outside rooms.

Dogs are not to be washed inside rooms.

Visiting Friends

With or without dogs must on arrival report at reception and, if applicable, sign dog rules and pay appropriate visiting fee.

Please note that dog owners who ignore the above rules may be asked to leave the Retreat at management's discretion.

Thank you for your co-operation and enjoy your stay! Woof woof!

Proprietor, Roman Manser completes your retreat experience by serving delicious a-la-carte meals in our cosy dining room complete with wood fire.

In fact, food forms a large part of our operation.

Being a Swiss chef, pastry chef and chocolatier, Roman is never far from the kitchen cooking up a storm!

We provide an a-la-carte dining facility changing our menu regularly throughout the year according to what produce is in season. We are lucky to be close to a growing number of food producers such as Woomerah Gully Traditional Foods (dairy), Jakwoods Honey (situated in Tarra Valley), organic vegetable and berry growers and excellent local seafood and meat.

As all food is made to order, we cater for any allergies or preferences our guests may have. We are delighted to prepare vegetarian, vegan or gluten-free meals on request.
